Genshin Impact Mods
Here is gathered a list of mods for Genshin Impact with which I play since 2023. Since Natlanv5.0, August 2024, I stopped playing with mods, but close to Nod-Krai's endv6.5 Luna VI, April 2026 I returned to modding.

Account Safety
Technically, playing with mods goes against Hoyo's rules. However, in practice, Hoyo turns a blind eye to visual mods as long as you don't publicly advertise or showcase that you're using them. Playing with visual mods is generally safe - just don't show your UID on any screenshots or videos where the mods are visible.

Dynamic Character Resolution
setting. - If the game kicks you out with error
Illegal tool detected - 10612-4001
, try this temporary fix.
Mods Search and Installation
- Go on GameBanana (there for characters, there for weapons) and search for mods.
- After finding the suitable mod, download it. Typically, it's some archive.
- Open the archive. Typically, it contains a folder (sometimes few, sometimes zero).
- Extract the folder from the archive (or make a folder and extract the archive's content there) into the appropriate subfolder of the
Mods
folder for trying the mod out (or into aDISABLED
folder for storing the mod for later).- Remember that you can have only one active mod per each individual character skin/weapon.
- It's recommended to rename the mod's folder with a template
Subject_Type_Description_Toggle
, where:- Subject - character/weapon name;
- Type - can be skipped for weapons, but for characters it's one of the following:
- Details - small tweaks over the default model (vanilla+);
- Outfit - full clothing replacement;
- Look - overall appearance change (think of a redesign or a different character);
- Description - short summary of the key feature(s);
- Toggle - added if the mod is merged and has toggle between variants script included.
- If the mod was installed while working game, press F10 in-game, and, in some cases, additionally switch back and forth between characters.
- If the mod is broken (acid colors textures, abominable meshes, etc.), run the fixing tool and apply fixes (Version, FaceFix, ORFix). Solution for blue outlines - open the mod's .ini config, find lines
ps-t70 = Resource???Outline
(search byOutline
) and change 70 to 71.
